for the past few months all I have been hearing of are people protesting the war in Iraq. Why? why do the American people desire failure in Iraq. to leave iraq means we hand over the victory to the terrorist, we allow terrorist to regain control of Iraq, and then allowing the terrorist to go on a massive onslaught of the people as they have been doing in the past. why are there so many cowards in America, that do not believe in accomplishing our mission. The true Americans are the ones fighting and supporting our mission to achieve success. Why do the American people not care for the other lives of the people of Iraq? if we leave were sentencing them to death by the hands of the terrorist. and I doubt anyone wants to be responsible for that, because that is whats going to happen if we leave. there are only a few of us Americans left that desire victory and success, but we have been outnumbered by selfish and cowardice people. the govt is the only thing standing up to the terrorist.

Maybe you should study the history behind Iraq and realize that it has never really been any different. The United States opened up a can worms by going in there and now they are not even wanted there by the majority of Iraqi's. It seems to me that the last poll of Iraqi's said 7 out of 10 don't want the Americans there.

If Bush doesn't get the message from the Iraqi's and the Democrats who now control both houses he will be in for a rude awakening. If he didn't get what happened on November 7, he better grab reality before it is to late for him.

I think the reason most people are protesting the war is that it is becoming much like Vietnam in the fact that theres no way to truely win. Add that to the fact that we have numerous troop dying over there and the fact that the president didnt do a good job at promoting the war and you have pissed off people. I am in the Navy and totally support the fight for freedom, but there is no real good we can do over there unless we stay there forever and police them. The country has become so corrupt theres not alot we can do besides ruling it ourselves and thats not right either. The situation has no good ending and now that people realize it they just want it to end.

Before the americans arrived the Iraqis had only one murderer to worry about, now there are thousands and life is unbearable which is why so many are voting with their feet and leaving the country in unprecedented numbers.
Before the americans arrived there were no terrorists in Iraq only Saddam Hussein. The american invasion has destroyed normal society and led to the rule of the gunman.

Americans do not desire failure in Iraq, we have helped countless countries with issues such as this. Thousands of Americans have been killed trying to free the Iraqis for the hands of a tyrant (Saddam Hussein). I can not believe what you have written. How can you help people who do not want to be helped. Obviously we are there to help these people and no one wants our soldiers to die in vain. We would love for this fight to be victorious but how do you make that happen when those you are fighting for are obviously not willing to fight for themselves. I am a native NY er. I was there when 911 happened. I would love nothing more than to see these terrorist brought to justice as was Saddam Hussein but its an endless battle. You get rid of one and there are a thousand more in the wings. Our people should not have to continue to pay for this. Americans are not the police for the entire world. Get a grip buddy. Why aren't you over there fighting for them? Its time for us to leave, we did all we can do. Now its time for the Iraqis to fight for themselves.

People aren't being selfish by being against the war. So many INNOCENT people have already have Bern hurt or killed. The gov. hasn't stand up for anything but what's going to get them more money, more power, or whatever else they are out for. The American people are starting t see threw it all.

A lot of people who oppose the war don't really care about it other than that they want their family members back home.

My opinion now i think that those that don't stand behind our troops and president are either traders of our nation or are the enemy in our own back yard. Fight for freedom and liberty and Justice for all GOD BLESS AMERICA.

A great look at it. Thinking about it...I agree with you. We MUST defend our freedom and the freedom of those who can't defend it themselves. That is what makes us strong. Our capacities can do it, but our selfish, narcissic lives cause its failure. I want to join in your support. Long Live Freedom and the United States!
