I have trained dogs and would provide great home...have had large dog (Akita) but lost him to cancer in Nov @age 9 after taking him to UC Davis for many treatments. Had Shar-pie also...she died end of Oct...@12 years old Have a home with fenced yard and 24 hours a day to give lots of love and attention and loving training.

Another thing you can do is call your humane society & ask them for the names & phone #'s of local rescue organizations. The one I work with accepts specific requests & when the animal they want becomes available they are given a call to meet the pet-to-be.

the best place is to go to petfinder there you can put in your zip code, and enter the breed of dog, age, size, sex, etc...and it will bring up listings of shelter's and rescue's in your area that have this type of dog for adoption. and good for you for adopting a dog that would not have a home otherwise!
