so I'm at the gym today enjoying the steam room when this guys walks in to the wet area (it's an area in the men's locker room where the steam room, sauna, whirlpool and showers are located) with his 4 year old daughter!
Now keep in mind this is the men's locker room -- in a very large - very busy gym. In this part of the locker room nobody has on anything except maybe a towel.
He (the father) strolls in butt-***-naked. The kid was in a bathing suit. You should've seen the guys scramble! It was so uncomfortable. What really got me was that the father took a nice long hot tub while the kid stood around and asked "why don't you all have your swimsuits on?"!!!
I don't have kids but I think this is outrageous. Parents is this normal?

No its not normal and first of all he shouldnt have had his little girl in that locker room most gyms dont really allow this .. And for him to just leave his little girl alone while he took his time in the hot tub in a room full of men is out of line .. The poor little girl should have been exposed to locker room full of naked men

If i was you i would report it cause you never know how many times he has done this to this poor child, cause if something happens to that little girl (heaven forbid) he will want to sue the business and act like he is a poor victim..

Glad to have found this discussion. Just today a mother brought her 6 or 7 year old son into the women s locker room while she went in to her locker. Not only was I in the process of dressing after a shower, but another woman was drying her hair without anything on except panties. When I went to the manager, he really wasn t concerned...saying well, the child has special needs.....(and your point is?) Also their policy is to only have males working on the weekends, therefore, every time I entered the dressing/shower/bathroom area there was a man in the ladies locker room cleaning . I asked him to leave while I take a shower...he did but was just around the corner.

So....I would like some feedback on this. Am I the only one who still believes that children must be taught boundries? That parents are responsible for this and when their not, business s must make policy to protect their paying customers...and that men in the women s locker room should be reserved for after hours for cleaning and not at 11am during peak time on Saturdays? Thank you.

No, it is sooo wrong! The father should take a minute to think about how many child pr editors are out there, and even if he is not concerned with other peoples comfort level, and the fact that his daughter is subjected to looking at naked strangers, some guys get off on exposing themselves to children.
Make a complaint to the gym regarding him, You'll most likely find that others have all ready done so, the guy needs to have his membership revoked, and maybe that will wake him up to the potential harm he is placing his daughter in!

you would think that was a no brainer for the guy but gues not. Bring it up to management. Let them knw what happened and ask them to post something on the locker room door (or at least at the entrance to the steam/hotub area) about not having kids of either gender in the locker room. Kids shouldn't have to see strange grown men naked.

A extra intense end well being center has family individuals areas for that variety of factor.or perhaps then mothers will carry smaller teenagers. boys interior the girls's. while i grew to become into little we merely had the park distrct and while mom grew to become into busy I went with my older brother or male cousin. We had to bypass stroll throughout the bathe to head into the pool section so I observed each and every thing and that i do no longer think of absolutely everyone objected, yet that grew to become right into a distinctive time. some who would have felt strange with a woman there merely grew to become and confronted any incorrect way.

Boy ... that is REAL Creepy -- even if he was a Single Dad ... (because of divorce, whatever ...) what is wrong with him PAYING for a Babysitter to WATCH the little GIRL while he enjoys himself in the Steam Room/Hot Tub the way he wants to?

I think it shouldn't be a big deal unless the child is really being abused sexually. Just being in the locker room seeing guys in towels? How is that "abusive" to a small child? Her dad was with her. I think worrying about that is silly.

Yet another environment spoiled by PARENTS who don't want to pay for a babysitter.

The internet use to be free too, now you must watch what you say because KIDS are on here now, and were all brought down to their level.

Parents get a sitter and a blocker for your computer!

personally i wouldn't ever do that, i mean esp. at that age where they begin to ask questions and understand the human body a lot more. I could see if the kid was a lot younger..but i guess it's all in what the parent is comfortable with.
