Everyone is saying, "Sunlight, and Lemon Juice". My hair is dark brown. I've tried to lighten it many times, and it always looks orange afterward. I'd say nothing will naturally lighten you hair but the sun. All it will do is give you faint highlights. It also depends on how drastic a change you're looking for. If you want to go blonde, you'll need to get a professionals help at first. After that you'll be able to keep the look with over the counter products.

Sit out in the sun. It will lighten up your hair a little bit. Try putting lemon juice in your hair, this also lightens it a bit. If you really want a drastic change, go get your hair dyed. Either professionally or you can buy a dye and have a friend do it. (My friends do it all the time and it's so much cheaper and looks professionally done anyways.) Simple as that. Good luck.

You can't actually lighten your hair without doing any damage, any lightening of the hair strips out natural moisture. By using lemon juice in your hair its just as damaging to the moisture content as it is to just get a few highlights (done professionally)
If you do decide to lighten your hair don't forget to use treatments and moisturizers often. I hope this helps you a bit.

Unless you are Asian, sunlight. Be careful not to get a sunburn on your skin though. If you are Asian, it's gotta be dyes. Pick one that comes with a package of conditioner, and use a little bit every day until it runs out.

Sunlight, I heard lemon juice can work, I think it has something to do with the acidity of it, haven't tried it though.
