I got most of the parts done (ceremony, signing of wedding license) but I still need "happy" or "elegant" songs for the RECEPTION and CANDIDS during meal. Any ideas what "happy" and "elegant" songs might be? Thanks for the help!

I don't know of any specific songs, but try listening to the previews of wedding songs on itunes. They have a few wedding collections that may be helpful.

Blessed by Christina Aguilera.
Our wedding CD includes our guests favorite love songs. The back cover lists the song and who requested it.

Blessed is an elegant song... for happy... Accidently in Love by the Counting Crows

Try asking a DJ about it. DJ's that do weddings often know exactly what to do, Mine did and she was a great help. If you dont have a DJ, just have a meeting with one and act like you are planning to book them and get a list of songs from them. that should start you in the right direction. Good luck!

What's your taste in music? What about "Don't Worry, Be Happy" or possibly "Happy Talk" from the stage show South Pacific for the "happy" song?

I suggest visiting online website such as

http://www.weddinglenox.com ,weddingvendors.com ,onewed.com

Unlike most yellow pages, they have detailed comparison for vendors (DJ,videographer, florist, and photographer) you can choose.

One problem I had with my wedding is that it is hard to locate vendors in most website as most likely they group by states and there are too many of them that's too far from me and I have to look at each site to figure out.

I like weddinglenox as they have a easy to use layout to show you pictures, pricing and location in one page, plus you can send out your inquiry for matching vendor to contact you. That save me lots of time to locate the best vendors with the right price.
