I'm going to continue reaching out to the younger generation to instill volunteerism and community service as a part of everyday life. By continuing all of my volunteer projects tutoring kids, mentoring youth and youth volunteers, and spreading the message of volunteering and community service through my podcast, I'm trying to make a difference, even if I only reach one person at a time.
Just like in the movie Pay it Forward, I think the world can be made a better place one person at a time. If we can reach one person and that person can reach out to another, and so forth, communities all over the world will eventually benefit and become much stronger.
Everyone can make a difference.

I want to keep giving to "Samaritans Purse" ran by Franklin Graham, Billy Graham's son. They put together large shoe box size goodies for children in many countries. Inside will be treats, toys, gloves, hat, paper, pencils, toothbrushes, toothpaste etc. It's a great surprise when given to these kids. They also put in a small children's Bible. I also give to St. Jude's Hospital started by Danny Thomas and dedicated to free treatments for all children, no matter what their income. They also specialize in finding cures with all their research. You would not believ what 20.00 a month can do.

I go out on patrol with the USCG aux. during the summer looking for trouble, sometimes we find it, I always feel great when I get to help someone out who really needs it, I only know about boats, so I'm just doing my "bit", with the skills that I have. The ocean can be a very unforgiving place, it takes you fast, we have to be "Faster", my reward is that look of relief and gratefulness, when we pull someone out of the water, and into the boat, and they're safe.
