security, total connection / convergence
also 3D desktop (if you get the better versions and your video card / comp can handle it.
But mainly its more user friendly, more automated, connects to everything has many mac OS-like features and programs (Vista Desktop = dashboard)
But mainly it is supposed to be very stable and very secure.
There is A TON of eye candy though
