Yeah, this is a good question. I'm anxious to see what the men have to say about this.
Height is such a big deal to guys. Some of us would do anything just to be an inch or so taller, even to the point of lying about it - as if by lying, it could become a fact. (An extreme demonstration of the inflated size of the male ego.)
I'm 5' 6". My dad was 5' 6", but until the day he died, he swore he was 5' 7". It was a family joke, but he never laughed about it.
Of course, most men don't lie about there height....do they? I don't know any male friends that do. Those that do are simply sad little men, aren't they? Regardless of how tall they really are.

Have you ever heard of the short man syndrome?
It has been said that short men are very insecure and if they lie about their height it makes them feel better - more of a man.

I think men associate their height with the size of their penis, that's why they feel compelled to lie about these things.

men usually think that ladies like taller men, and its true to a certain extent because most attractive females are seen around taller men.but shorter males, because they like you so much babygurl ;-) they would not want to lose their chance with you, so they lie about their height.they fail to understand that their height does not count when it comes to a mutual liking for each other.

ok i think because guys think that girls would prefer tall guys
according to the first person who answered ur question about why women lie about their weight
because women think that guys like girls the have good figures and are slim
but im not particular of all this, size doesnt matter that much unless ur telling me the girl is an elephant

i had a guy same height as me (5'4) claim he was 5'8...their just insecure...for the guys who say we lie about age and weight. I dont because I'm not insecure.
