Amen sister! I agree 1000%
Doesn't bother me when people just wear BDU pants or whatever, but when they try to play if off like they just got back, or have been to Iraq, it really p!sses me off. I actually busted a guy because he didn't know his rank. Wearing Army Sergeant rank and said his rank was Lance Corporal, or some such crap.... I wanted to throw him on an IED...

I was in the military several years and I think those people who dress up like that are pathetic. However, as a military member, I would stand up and protect their right to choose to dress up as pathetic as possible. I may also reserve the right to kick their @$$es.
But don't be angry. Feel sorry for them, for that is as close to glory as they are going to get. Probably ever.

I agree. That's so frustrating. What also gets me is how people (especially movie stars) who blatantly hate our army and the war in Iraq wear camoflauge. Don't they know that camo, even though in style, refers to the army? You know, the army you protest every day?
I think it's rather ironic.

People actually do this? I don't see what the point would be unless it is halloween or something.
Also, the phrase "and they won't work a day in their life" is a potential gross overstatement.
I think you meant, won't "serve" a day in their lives.
Can you give us an example of this happening?

well if i am not mistaken not so long ago 20+ years?
it use to be illegal to wear military uniforms if you were
not in the military...the exception being hollywood for
movie persons...one has to thank or liberal friends
under the guise of "free speech" for the letting this happen...

Sounds like John Kerry's friends are still around.
Maybe they went to Syria with him and now consider themselves vets.

I completely agree with you. I am a marine wife my husband is over seas. Anyone who has the audacity to claim something like that has no respect and i have no respect for them.
God bless our troops!
