I'm wondering if anyone's read something...a quote, and suddenly some kind of realisaion just hits you in the face...and you feel like asking yourself: Where have I been all this time? What have I been doing?

And then...it's like you have a fresh start after that life changing moment, all because of those few words.

Or a quote that your life revolves around. Even a mere word.

For me, it was this quote from Confucious:

When the student is ready, the Master will appear.

I think it's a most transcendant ideal- it goes way beyond the human instructor. Almost anything can become the Master in teaching. A failure, a struggle, an injury, a death, a compliment, an experience, etc.

"The gunfire around us makes it hard to hear, but the human voice is different from other sounds. It could be heard over noises that bury everything else, even when its not shouting. Even when its just a whisper.Even the lowest whisper can be heard over armies, when its telling the truth."

So I will tell you what you ask and seek to know." -Homer, (The Odyssey) While you may do something that puts you into doubt, stick with it, for it will benefit you in the future. You will look back, confident of your achievements and the insight that you have gained from them.

"No one can take away the good days you've already had"

and

"Be kind to people; you don't know what they are going through."

I heard these from a farmer. It was something his mother always told him. It actually helped me a lot at the time, as I was going through a particularly difficult time.
