sadly, or happily, I agree with u!
my 10 y/o has demonstrated admirably that he is
incredibly vulnerable to the sort of 'thieving assault' that u get on the television nowadays.
why are these services so extortionately expensive?
it is a joke which is not in the slightest bit funny.
the only bits which are funny are where they ask questions like:-
phone us and answer a simple question to have a chance of winning.
the person phones..........
"Hello, if u answer this correctly, u will be entered into the prize draw for ur chance to win a fantastic prize"

"What is ur name?"

no?
well, blow me, it might as well be!!!!
this complete rip off should be stopped where the question is so pathetic, it is an insult to anyone with an IQ higher than about 50

in fact, i couldn't agree with u more.

good question tho......
would i do the same?
answer
a) yes bcos i am a hypocrite
b) maybe if i was desperate for money or
c) not a bl**dy chance, i would offer something a lot more worthwhile given half a chance.

have a great one. all the best.

These things are always difficult, because in a sense it is the people who phone the premium rate lines which keep the business going.

If they are targeting the vulnerable however then it should be banned.
