So I fell for my best friend. And she fell for me (I of course didn't find that out until some time later). But, she was seeing someone else at the time. Last fall, he moved away, but they tried to keep a long-distance relationship. Now, I tried my hardest, but with him gone it became increasingly difficult to control my feelings. We became closer, and then one day we kissed (my fault, but she did kiss me back). Long story short, they broke up, and then got back together a little while later. That was September-ish. Now this last month they broke up again, and things between them are rocky.

She is way sad, which makes me wonder if she's so sad she'll want to get back together again, leaving me in the dust (again). Should I wait to see if she'll get over him? How long should I wait? If she does get over him, how can I explain to her that it's O.K. to get together with her best friend (she's the kind of girl to worry about that). Bleh.

This is a tricky situation. It will take time and patience. Right now if she just broke up with her boy friend she will definitely need a friend. That should be your number one priority. If she comforts in you and actually has feeling of love fo you, i believe it will show. You really need to be able to judge her emotions and know if the time is right or if she just does not want you to be more than a friend. However, if you really care for her you will want her to be happy even if its not being your girl friend and just a friend. That's what true love is all about.

don't get so disturbed over a broken relationship b'coz life is full of ups and downs and you both will soon patch up together. One thing which is most essentially needed is patience. After some time , she will automatically understand you and how you feel about her. You would have to wait until a few weeks until she doesn't get over this shock in her life.If she does not get over him , then simply tell her that nothing will happen if she truly loves him from THE HEART. This will surely lead to some conclusion or the other . Try this out and I tell you that is is indeed a very effective way ! Hoping to hear from you soon !

She could lean on you since you are her best friend. I mean she probably has talked to you about many things and feels comfort from you. But sometimes that isn't in a romantic way. I mean you probably make her feel safe and cheer her up when she's down but she might have a deep love for the other guy. A love for a friend is different from a love for a bf or gf.

She is not to be trusted! She already cheated on him with you! You will break up the same way you met if you do wind up with her! I say move on past her! You already know that she is not a devoted person, you are asking for what she did already to her bf. Be her friend and tell her her actions are out of line.

ooh thats so hard....but a best friend could be a great partner...you already get along well...her bf shes keeps breaking up with is not going to be a life partner...I say ask her to give you a chance to be her bf...she probably won't regret it
