How do you BLEND drinks?

when i blend drinks with ice, mine never come out smooth... but my boyfriends are ALWAYS perfect! why? any tips?

Use a higher liquid to ice ratio and use crushed ice instead of cubed. (For hassle-free crushed ice cubes, fill an ice tray with scalding hot water instead of cold when freezing. They'll break when you're ready to pop them out)

Blend the drink mixture first and then add the (crushed is better) ice. Use the "liquefy" setting for a well blended, smooth drink.

You do need a powerful blender with a variety of settings. Oster is a good brand.

The reason yours never come out smooth is beacuse you add to many liquids, try using less and pay attention at the way they are comming out, if you see that they are not smooth, put in more ice untill you see is perfect, if you see that it needs more liquids put some more, for instance in the bar if i'm making a piña colada i usally put a glass and a half just to get one piña colada done, then i put some coco lopez for the cocunt flavor and also for it can come out perfect, then i add pineapple juice then rum, blend it and whala, a perfect piña colada.

maybe u didnt put any extras ices into the blender or either you didnt mixs it very well then. why dont you ask him to make youre drink same way as his next time. or he just add some thing else with his drink to make it smoothest .
