Add a combination of orange peels and sweet spices like cloves, cinnamon sticks, nutmeg and ginger to 3 cups of water. Place in a 1 Qt. pot and boil for a few minutes. Turn the heat to the lowest setting until the cooking odors dissipate. Just don't let the water evaporate.

This potpourri makes the kitchen smell great.

Drain the ingredients in a strainer for easy disposal.

try burning apple cinnamon inscense or a scented candle with the same scent......i have found when cooking that apple cinnamon seems to not clash with the other scents and aplle cinnamon seems to give off a scent which even apeals to the palet.....for my second choice would be citrus......another little trick i have used id to put apple cinnamon potpouri in a pan with water and let it simmer on low while you are cooking just make sure you dont run out of water.....good luck.......

Whenever we have something like that in our house we keep the doors open, and leave some scented candles on. The simpler candles the better.

Turn on ur exhaust fan in ur kitchen much before you start, or if you can close yr kitchen doors close them, with the exhaust on. then use incense sticks to make sure the spice smell is not around.

Vinegar heals all wounds. Dampen a rag or cloth slightly wet and whirl it around for a bit.

Try burning a candle specifically intended to remove cooking odors. I haven't used one myself, but they are supposed to work.
