Water!

There is really no food without sugar, even lemons have more sugar than strawberries. The key is to understand that NATURAL sugar is good. The sugar from apples, grapes, bananas, even vegetables have sugar! This sugar is fine, it is made from nature, and our bodies are part of nature, so they are built to deal with this sugar. What you need to look out for is sugar in hard candies, cookies, cakes, and sweets.

So don't be afraid to eat natural sugar!

Hi there you are not alone many of us have to cut back on sugar in foods. There are foods that have natural sugar. The sugar that is bad for you is the man made sugar. It's called processed. You buy it in a bag at the food store. In my opinion if you stop eating food from the bakery, candy, and soda drinks like coca cola, this will remove a lot of sugar from your diet.
The natural sugars in food will not hurt you but you can cut back on eating them not stop eating them. Our bodies need some sugar for energy. Just eat a balanced meal. Think of the colors around you. Green, red, yellow. If you eat some meat for protein and then eat a green vegetable and some red and yellow ones. plus eat 5 pieces of fruit a day. You will be in good health. Our bodies need all natural foods. If we stop eating the natural foods we will be weak and no able to think. There are minerals in foods that our bodies need that are in fruits and vegetables. ..and they are located in foods that are natural. These things have to be in the right amount or we will have nervous and mental problems. So get a check up from your doctor first and he or she will help you plan a good diet for your health and for your age group and for your life style. It depends if you are in construction work...or office work how many calories you need to have the strength you need to get you through the day...It's dangerous to take things you see on tv that say they will do this for you and that for you without asking your doctor first..so be very careful with your health and happy new year...from Mama Jazzy Geri

You can look up diabetic foods on google or any other search engine...you can also visit your local book store for more information on the subject. Just remember a little bit of sugar is not bad...but anything taken to an extreme becomes the exact opposite.. The key is moderation.

Foods that contain sugar alcohols have the least effect on your blood sugar and are considered ok...I would suggest reading label at the store....Splenda is a good substitute as it is made from sugar but isn't sugar. Otherwise you will only know if you read the labels....basically...most protiens do not contain any sugars...

The best source to see what foods have less sugar or no sugar. Is American Diabetes Association, if you start there. It will lead you to other sites.

You sound like you are taken it to the extreme.

Here is one of my favorite health and diet snacks.

Low Carb Tortilla
Avacado
Onions
Tomatoes
Sprouts
Soy Bacon

Dice it all up and put in tortilla and fold into a burrito.

Its so good!

but try not to consume any sugar substitutes either...like Splenda and Equal..they are worse for your body compared to natural sugar.
