With all you heart and soul you may support the war, support the troops, but for some people there. Besides not everyone can fight, are you gonna tell a military man who sits on a computer working 16 hours a day typing and modifying programs to help keep the soldiers safe that even though he may support the war he should be fighting for it. Some people are just not meant to fight, others they live for it.

It is a volunteer force period. If you are in favor of the space program why are you not an astronaut. Another thing everyone thinks that everyone can just go join the service and that is far from the truth. You must be qualified morally, mentally and physically. And in this day and age that just is not that easy to 1st find someone who qualifies and then having them enlist. So to make a general statement like that is pretty irrelevant anyways!

You could be working on military equipments, etc and if that's all that you're qualified to do than you do the closest you are qualified of doing to support it. You don't have to fight in Iraq to support it. BTW, you're really smart to think that going and fighting there are all there is to it, huh?

I remember all those Democrats lining up at the recruiters when Clinton was having military adventures in Haiti, Somalia, Kosovo and Iraq... actually they didn't. Chelsea didn't even sign up for her father's legacy quests.

So, where did YOU serve when Clinton was in office? Hmmm?

My husband has served proudly for 14 yrs.... ets'd due to my chronic illness (the reason I couldn't join). When our children are older, he is going back.
As a family, we have definitely served our country.
