Ever tried Efes Pilsen brewed in Turkey? It's smooth and mellow 5% alcohol, golden color. Germany and Belgium have some terrific beers (not Stella, that's too commercial); and do try some local (not internationally known) English ales/stouts. Belgian fruit beers are nice but real beer should be made only from barley and hops.

IMHO, Paulaner Dunkel, from Germany. Guinness from the U.K., and Baltika Zero (alcohol free), from Russia. And of course Corona, Bohemia, Negra Modelo, León and Montejo from Mexico

IMO - a Belguim beer called Framboise Lambic. It's a raspberry malt, very expensive but yummy. It's best at room temp.

German Beck beer and Czech Pilsener.
These may be impossible to get here, as the alcohol level of the European beers (11% like wines here) are not allowed in the USA.
