most of the time it has to do with how hydrated someone is.. for instence when you first wake up and havent drank anything for 8 hours it will be really yellow and smell of ammonia but after you have something to drink it is more clear and the smell or ammonia is watered down so to speak.

This question is very easy! Believe me on this! When your body is getting dehydrated your urine will turn very yellow! Fluids esp. water will cure the problem drink at least 8 glasses a day. If that dont help see a Dr. you could have a digestive problem to where your intestines are not absorbing the fluids.

If it is clear it is because it hasn't been sitting in your system long. The first pee in the morning is usually been there all night and will be yellow or even orange. Also if you take vitamins, that will make your urine yellow. Some prescriptions (and over the counter pills) will color your urine.

when you drink more liquids, you dilute the toxins within the urine, therefore making it more clear.
You should be hydrated and drinking lots of liquids, mainly water.
When you wake in the morning, your urine should be very yellow due to the hormone, ADH - Anti-diuretic Hormone. It is secreted during sleep to reabsorb water and to decrease the urge to urinate.
Also, taking some herbals or vitamins will cause your urine to turn a light yellow. But that is due to your body elimating the unused vitamin.

The color of urine depends on how diluted it is. Intake more fluids, especially plain water, and urine will be more diluted and lighter in color. As you've found out, it can be even be colorless. Restrict fluids and it will be more concentrated and darker. The yellow color is not from toxins. It comes from urochrome, a yellow pigment that is the end result of dead blood cells processed by the liver.

It all depends on how much and what you drink....caffeine and alcohol are diuretics. They'll initially make you pee, (clear) but to compensate, your body will swell a little ( you might notice this if you wear rings). This is when your body feels it has to retain water. So, rather than letting all the water out in your pee, your body hangs on to it....so your pee is pure...well...pee....sorry, if you want more info, google "diuresis".

Darker colors generally are an indication your body is struggling to rid itself of impurities. Folks who drink a lot of coffee, tea or soda without equal amounts of water will likely have darker urine. Illness (like urinary tract infections) and some medications can change the color, also.

Some of the changes are harmless...others can be severe. Check this site for some possible health complications associated with change in urine color.

Simple!

When you are very well hydrated, your urine is clear because your body is cleansed and clean. When it is deep yellow, it means you should get more water into your system.

Orange means super dehydrated and get fluids in you right away!

Easy if its nice and clear it means you have had enough water threw your body and its clean, if its yellow and dark that means you need to drink more water to flush your system out.

It depends on how much fluids you have had. The more hydrated you, the clearer your pee will be. So the clearer the better :]
