Be really nice to her! Give her treats; food really wins a dog's heart. You be the one who feeds her, too. Speak to her in a friendly way. Sometimes you can put her on a leash even in the house so she stays near you, and you have a chance to show her how nice you really are.
Sometimes when you see her, bend over and touch the floor with your hands. This is a doggie signal that you want to play. Whine a little in a high pitched tone. "Mmm, mmm, mmm!" in a friendly way.

I have a chihahua too and had the same problem. Mine was abused prior to being placed at an animal shelter where I adopted her. I didn't fuss at her for her little mishaps. I would get the pet spray out and clean the mess in front of her and snuggle with her the rest of the time. It seemed like she really needed the reassurance that I wasn't going to be mean to her. After 3 years, we are best friends. I think that specific breed is kind of nervous and by me talking to her while cleaning up her mess in a low tone, she felt bad about making the mess and knew she was still safe with me. No more accidents!

i understand what you imply, my staffy gets ignored additionally, yet because of the fact we've a plenty bigger canine that all human beings likes to fuss over. factor is, he's no longer plenty fussed with assembly new human beings and could quite be on his way, whilst undesirable little lenny merely loves human beings and needs a cuddle. i recover from this via merely telling human beings to go away my canine on my own, i detect it kinda impolite besides while human beings attempt to puppy my canine with out asking. Felix s - do no longer accuse the lady of mendacity approximately her canine she has lived with it for the previous 3 hundred and sixty 5 days and a nil.5 i'm specific she is conscious what it is! merely so which you will spew all your canine chew fatalities rubbish. Oh and via the way, there's no such factor as a pit bull.

First of all what kind of discipline was it? Dang. Anyway. Just be cuddly with her. When you pick her up put her on the couch with you and set her next to you and pet/scratch her weak spot. Slowly gain her trust and NEVER use a mean/scary voice. It'll take a while depending on what the heck you did to her.

it was probably the disciplining that made her scared of you in the first place. You could always try bribery. For example, every time she comes to you when you call her you could give her a piece of food that she really likes. If that doesn't work, just give it some time, and she might come back to you.

I've noticed in smaller dog breeds (I've owned many different types of dogs), they tend to develop and hold on to fear more easily. The best way to get your dog to start not fearing you is to hold her more, talk to her more, give her treats, show her more attention, constantly praise her for what she does right and try not to yell at her for what she does wrong.
Silence is a dog's worst enemy. A dog will fear a silent owner. Trust me. Continually talk to her in a sweet voice.
Dogs can be reconditioned not to fear, as is the case in many animal abuse cases.
Just start to be more gentle and loving with her, and you should see results.
Hope I helped. Good luck. :)

Basic dog training the dog will respect and love you for it. Also maybe teach your dog to use a litter box then you wont have to scold him when he cant hold it till you take him out. Small dogs have small bladders and have to go a lot. give your dog a treat when he comes to you. Good luck

You don't train a dog by hitting. Lets see you hit her, screamed at her and may be threw her outside. Yea I would come running to you. Think about it for a minute, would you like you or would you be scared. Scared would be answer.

first, its never the dogs fault for not using outside its your fault for not taking her out enough or having a doggie door and a fence for her to let herself out. its un realistic to expect a young dog to figure out how to "ask" to go out...scolding, to them feels like you dont want them to go at all ! it doesnt make sence.you have to make outside available to them. easy and a lot.
second, dogs are smart in that they never forget. dont scare, hit, punish, or miss lead them. you can get back on her good side by training with praise, lots of praise. catch her doing things right and PRAISE REAL BIG....OFTEN....:)

reassure her that you love her and when she pees outside try to reward her once in a while be sure that you take her out and not everyone else. reward good behavior no matter what it is and this will let her know that she is pleasing you and she will react to the\is positively
