In the past,I have been in relationships that I can honestly say either me or my partner have taken things for granted. I have also settled in prior relationships. What I have learned and I think works well for me is the knowing that I have a best friend, the subtle touch, taking care of the day to day things, love notes, flowers, bringing me a cup of coffee, compliments, surprises!!! doing things together such as the dishes, reading, snuggling and being able to look into my lovers eyes and feel the completness of having a soulmate. The bottom line is to never overlook the simple things and never take anything for granted. Love is precious and can be damaged and never be replaced...so, live each day with your lover as the first day you met and keep the romance going...

If there is no passion connection between the two then nothing will work. If the passion connection is strong, anything will work!
Surprises - flowers, lingerie, love notes - little things sent for no reason. But be careful, if you come off too gushy it is a turn-off. You do have to be a man.
