I came here (legally) in my mid-30's and got my first ever driver's license in NJ. It was on a closed course and lasted all of five minutes. If all state driving tests are like that, we don't need to give sympathy and favor to anybody!

why don't they just give them license's without them taking the test.. most illegals aren't licensed to drive and still do.. y just the immigrants.. y not the US citizens..y over 50..what about those that aren't 16...young drivers should get favor too so just give licenses to EVERYBODY at all ages... I think those over 50 should have to take a driving test to be sure they can still drive.. As u get older ur site and hearing goes and sometimes memory so there should be a law requireing driving test after a certain age.. but we already give them sympathy and favor in US..for our welfare, jobs, etc...

Hell no! We don't all want to be driving 25-40 mph in the 65 mph zone do we? It's bad enough now! I'm not talking immigrant issue I'm talking about the aging population of people who have nothing better to do than go out and slow down traffic to a "safe" speed all day long.

Actually, if they can't handle the test, how can they handle the traffic?
It isn't 'nice' to put an unsafe driver on the road.
