Shower/bath soap? Laundry soap? Washing the car soap? What kind? I guess the best way to determine if you like it is to use it. If its not what you expected or perform up to its advertised level, then its bad. If its what you expected, and did the job it was supposed to be, then you can consider it good.

according to the commercials. If it floats. How much it lathers. If it has a pH close to neutral. I don't trust any of them. As in cleaning power, I don't think it matters much, because scrubbing cleans more than the soap does. Soap only duty is to remove oily substance. If you don't feel clean, it isn't working. As to other advertise extras, Some are just marketing gimmick. I use Oil of olay ribbon because in winter my skin is dry, and it has a but in moisturizer. The thing is I think the moisturizer interferes with the cleaning part of the soap. Deodorants, you can tell if it works because family and friends will tell you. I hate my friends and family.
