Im not sure how to keep it from coming back because I dont know what is causing it, but to get some relief from the horrible itching, get yourself some Benedryl cream and rub it in. It works WONDERS! If you are allergic to metal like my niece is, try using clear nail polish on any metal that touches your skin. (She has to put it on the snap of her jeans on the inside where it touches the belly.) It could be eczema. I don't know without seeing it. Either way, get yourself some benedryl cream (or the generic version of it) and that will at least make you feel better. Good luck!

It could be an allergy to the metal or it might be that there's bacteria on the belt. I had a watch that for some reason started giving me a rash. I went to the doc and they said it happens sometimes, mostly cos I used it during sport and stuff and cos I was in a situation I couldn't take it off for about 2 weeks straight, the skin couldn't breathe hence this rashy thing. I had to use an antibiotic type cream and was told to throw out the watch, or at least not wear it again. (Oh, and I wasn't supposed to wear a new watch until it cleared up on the off chance that it spread to the new watch)
Given it only seems to be this one belt, toss it and get a new one.

I have a nephew that has it and its called nickle dermabrasion. He can't wear necklaces, belt buckles made of metal or anything that has metal.Anything containing metal that rubs on his skin causes him to break out in a terrible rash. His dermatologist gave him some meds to clear off the rash and his advice was to stay away from metal products. He hasn't had an out break since then.If it continues you might need to see a dermatologist.Good Luck.

My sister is allergic to all metal, except pure 24 kt gold. Don't wear cheap metal it will burn your skin, not only giving you a rash.
There is nothing to be done...you can try covering the metal with a sealer ( varnish, polymer, etc...but sometimes the metal comes through.) I'd see a dermatologist....

It could be an allergy to nickel which they put in alot of "fashion jewelry" it could have been in your belt too. You could also have an allergy to latex, it could have been in your belt, and it is in some bra's too. Best thing is to see a specialist. good luck.
