My religious Beliefs: I follow the religion of Islam and call my self a Muslim. Proudly too, despite all the stigma, racism, ignorance and prejudice around the world, because I have found peace and truth in the Quran. What is the essence of my belief, Islam? That there is only one God, and the prophet Mohammed is the Last messenger. Islam teaches respect for other religions, so for devout Christians, Jews, Buddhists etc, I respect your efforts to live in peace and harmony.

There is no concept of priesthood in Islam. No person takes superiority over another. Every person is a human endowed with temptations and therefore the Quran clearly states a way of life that allows for contentment and happiness through actions of love and peace. In fact practicing Muslims realize that humbling themselves and being modest is the best way to live peacefully.

There is no submission to any priest or any person, there is only submission to one God, Allah. And to submit to Allah, Muslims pray 5 times a day, preferably at a Mosque, which is similar to a church, in that it is a place of worship. The 5 pillars of Islam includes, believing in Allah, praying 5 times a day, fasting during Ramadan, giving charity, and trying to make a journey to Hajj.

Islam is truly a beautiful religion. Its too bad that ignorance has manifested itself in such a way that society is blurred with a negative vision. The greatest gift that I can pass to anybody is knowledge of the Quran. Good Luck!

I believe that religion is the veil behind which the tyrant hides. I believe that doctrines are abused to the point of being completely misconstrued to the faithful, and therefore should be erased, so that those who use religion for their own ends can no longer hide.
