My master bathroom is very bland. It doesn't have that type of bathroom that says "Now this is a bathroom!!" As you come into the bathroom, I have my two facebowls with a vanity mirror on the right side with my comode on the side of my face bowls. On the opposite or in front my face bowls is a white wall and in front my comode is the bathtub. Now if I can get any tips on how to make my bathroom look more romantic or even sexier and where I could get the things I need at a reasonable price, it would help me alot.

Paint is the first place to start.
If your fixtures are not colored you are way ahead. If they are bone or white you have nothing to worrry about.
Now - look at your floor - is there a color in that floor that you can bring into the walls to make the room romantic or sexy. Even if it is a tiny little piece of color. If it too is a bland color you are ready to experiment.

1. Pick out a stunning color - Like HOT APPLE SPICE - Paint the walls that color and add white towels and bathmat

2. Get a few ornaments/candles in your new color and add some items like gold/white glass and toothbrush holder. Get a white wastebasket and get some gold paint and make veins on the wastebasket.

3. Set some flowers on the commode tank in an eclectic arrangement - don't get too big, unless your bathroom is very big.

4. Use some really ODD picutres and again use white and gold for frames. You can paint the frames and do the same veining on them.

Hope this helps

Not going to suggest a particular "theme" (not every room needs a theme!) but the easiest way to decorate any room is to find a fabric element (for a bathroom, that would be shower-curtain, rug, towels, and/or window-treatment) that you LOVE and build the rest of the decor from there. Always easier to coordinate a paint-color to another element than to pick the paint first. And if you start the project without a specific "theme" in mind, you'll have an easier time finding that first item that sets the tone for the rest of the space.

well, i think white is not a sexy or romantic color. you need alittle more drama. are the basins white? sand colored walls with black accents is a classy and romantic combo. you could redo the floors in a dark brown, or grey ceramic tile. wouldnt be too expensive if the floor area isnt big. modern, clean, straight lines will give a sophisticated look. use some bamboo in a black vase. mirror-backed candle sconces on the walls. maybe a bamboo mat on the floor. large sea shells attached to the wall and framed in black with no glass. putting a dimmer switch in can make a big difference in atmosphere.

Well I have several ideas. Maybe one of them will work for you.

1. A spa theme is kind of sexy. It can also be soothing. Light greens and lots of white with darker green accents.

2. Black is always sexy. How about finding a black lace shower curtain over a clear or white shower liner? Black a white all the way with red accents.

3. My bathroom is not sexy but I like it. I did it in the color of aqua that makes you think of swimming pools and water. I used white cloth shower curtain, white towels, white rugs and white ceiling and woodwork. Then hung black and white photos of seashells I printed off the internet in black frames. And over my other mirror, one black and white drawing of a ship in a black frame. The black frames really stand out against the aqua walls. And with all the white, it looks crisp and sharp. Unfortunately, not sexy at all, but oh well....

4. Earth tones really warm up a space. They are kind of spicy.

good luck!

You have many options. You can paint the walls a dark red color or any color of you choice. Candles work but so do a bowl of shells or something that you find romantic. I would stick with something simple and elegant that you would not get bored with after awhile. Paint is fairly cheap as are shells. Good luck.

Use a pink or fuschia-colored shower curtain or the one made from cloth with embroidery on it and/or scalloped edge, get small framed-arts with bath theme - find ones with frames match the shower-curtain (i.e. same color tones), add 3 decorative vintage-looking hooks, also add a framed small mirror (like a round or a rectangular with vintage-looking frame). Targets have tons of Shabby Chic, or TJ Maxx or Marshalls or Home Goods. Pier 1 is good to get an idea (not to buy from, to me Pier 1 is pricey) for something sexy and sultry.

Think of warm calming colors for the bathroom: earth tones, clay color, light brown, rustic orange. Raving romantic colors: Cranberry wine red w/ white, aqua blue colors. Look in catalogs with bath accents, Look at their designs. hgtv.com is a good source, living mags. architect mags.
Don't make it a job enjoy the fun. Make a bathroom personal by making something crafty but simple.

Paint the walls a colour that you love and accessorize accordingly. Chose a theme that you love like lighthouses or angles or whatever and use that as accents. Put bright coloured towels and bath mats that can be changed and give a new look to the bathroom.
