I have a "friend" will call em, that for along time has asked people about me, made up stories about my doing not so nice things, just all in my mix. Mostly in a bad way, but then when he is around me he is always talkative and seems too interested in what I am talking about. There is obvious friction but is it chemistry. Is he acting like a 1st grader on the playground who hits the girl he likes. If he doesnt like me, why do I think this

I have a small pool of theories to this situation:

One, theres something about you the people he's talking to must not like and he must say things in accordance with what they say to get them to accept him into their group and whatnot. Yet still doesn't want to offend you or displease you in anyway.

Two, he doesn't like you at all, just is reaaally good at hiding it. Is nice to your face because he doesn't want you to know he dislikes you.

Three, likes you but he thinks that its too obvious that he does (even though it may not really be obvious) and to counter it says stuff like that to create an aura of confusion so that you might not really know.

Four, somehow you're misinterpreting things and/or are reading too much into it.

Five, he liked you for a while but then realized he doesn't like you anymore, and instead dislikes you now, or wants to make you understand he doesn't like you.

Bottom line, situations like these suck. It's a very ambiguous thing, especially when they contradict themselves with their behavior. Either way, I'm sure you'll work things out. Just don't trouble yourself too much over it.. especially not over a guy.. It's my firm belief that you girls have this natural ability to attract guys much more easily than guys can attract girls. Just be confident, think positively. IF your situation stays confusing for too long, just abandon it because there's more out there for you.

It's kinda like this question: How can I be sure if my mate is cheating on me? Answer: When you're sure you think he/she is.

Whatever chemistry/friction you two have going, it's not good. Run and don't even think about looking back. If he makes up stories now, what do you think he'll do when he actually learns some true ones?

Well if i were you since you call him your friend why not try ask him about it. If he knows anything about it then he should hear your side of the story as well. If he comes out honest then he is called a friend if not...then find some else you may call your true friend.

One of two things, he either likes you and doesn't want to let people know (not a good way to do it), or he is a jerk who doesn't like you but hopes to "somehow" get you in bed.

Or he likes you but you haven't taken him to bed so he is being vicious out of some weird revenge mentality.

Either way, let him have it. You don't need either one.

Ask him.
If you have several sources, reliable sources, mention it but don't name names.
"Did you happen to say..."
Well, I heard from SEVERAL people that you did..
If he likes you, he'll likely fess up or apologize, but you can at least get to the bottom of it.
If not, he may be talking to you just to get more dirt. Just don't share anything too personal.

Hurting someone's reputation isn't the same as petty first grader hits. If he likes you he obviously is immature.

You have an instegator on your hands, that is someone who pretends to be your friend and uses all information to ingrtiate himself to others. You need to make up some lies about him, and spread them. Friends do not betray your secrets.
