I've been seeing this guy for 2 months. I am 22 and he is 28. He is the most wonderful and generous guy I have ever come across! I recently moved away but plan on returning to his area within the next 6 months. We haven't really talked about what we are going to do about the future. He has a personal family issue to deal with right now so a relationship is something he is not ready for, but he assures me that he thinks I am great and loves being around me. He has told me that right now it wouldn't be fair to start a relationship because he has to spend a lot of time with his dying father. Which I completely understand. When we are together its like time stands still. I really could see myself settling with him which scares me because I have had a past with being "flaky" with men. Should I still work on seeing him and waiting for when he is ready? I hate to let him go because of bad timing with me moving and his family issues. I really really like him! ahh help!

if you believe you could possibly be with this guy in your future without a doubt i'd say stick with it. who knows it could turn out to be your happy ending.

If you feel so strongly then you will wait but six months is a long time to be away. And a death that close is a serious blow to someone. And knowing that they are dying and not dead yet makes it harder. Just give him a little space or whatever he needs. Make sure you make time to go to the funeral if it happens to be when you are away. If you do love him then this shows that you are willing to be there as a friend at least.

Girl, you sound JUST like me! Almost same situation. It sounds like a good thing brewing. Definitely give him his "time" to handle his issues. It sounds like you have something of your own to handle anyway, so good timing. However, don't disappear. A few quick phone calls, maybe a funny card or short note, to lift his spirits during this difficult time he's having. Also, make sure he knows that you'll be there for moral support, IF he ever needs it. Good luck, and be patient!

If this is a true issue and the feelings are mutual, you will hear from him......
for now, as requested, grant him some space.
If nothing else, you have gained a good friend - which these days can be hard to come by!

wow this is very confusing u have alot of questions and u need a lot of answers.
well its all about whats inside what is ur heart saying to u is it saying i really like this guy i want to wait because it seems worth waiting for him because hes the right guy or is it saying i can't do this i can't wait i'm going to move on with someone else...good luck :) its all up to u now!

If you think he really cares about you and have feelings for you, then wait. But before you do that, make sure you've to him about it. Discuss it together. Ask him if this it or is it going to get serious in the near future!

I say look inside of yourself and really look and find out if you love him. If so then second find out if he really likes you. I know he has family issues but if he likes you he can ask you to be there for him and thus he is showing he can trust in you and show him you care enough to be there for him I say wait if you really love him if not if your not willing to wait then move on. If it is meant to be he will look for you.
