It's possible to have a relationship with anyone regardless of the siuation if you love them or really care for them. If she avoids it could mean she doesnt want to get in the way or interfere too much in your career. If she helps it means she wants to be a part of every aspect of your life.

Well which one is it? Does she help or avoid? Either way yes it is possible as long as you both are willing to communicate openly and honestly. This way you can tell her it bothers you that she is either avoiding/helping you. Communication is key in any relationship.

partners won't always understand what you are dealing with at work. a good partner will listen and be there for you to vent, and be a shoulder for you to cry on. but at the same time, i don't thjink it's fair to dump all your work problems on your girlfriend.. focus on common interests when you talk. put a limit on work discussions.
