every night i do at least 300 crunches with 200 sit ups. i also do lift legs many many times. but the thing is, i don't feel too much pressure on abdominal area. i also run a mile 5 times a week, roller skate, and lift weights 3-4 times a week. (not for too long tho)
i was just wondering, would these work outs get me the results of a six pck stomach? if not, what else do i have to do?

thank you so much for all the help

It really depends on what type of body you have right now. If you don't have much fat, then doing the sit ups/crunches should produce the results. If you are carrying excess weight in that area, then you first need to up the cardio to lose the excess weight so the 6-pack will show.
Try using a medicine ball with your crunches, and try some yoga to develop your core more. If your not feeling "pressure" on the abs, then adding weight will help you to feel that.
Good luck!

Sounds to me like you already answered your own question...you're not seeing what you want with your workout, so no, it's not working. The crunches and situps are excessive. Your abdominal muscles work just like every other skeletal muscle....would you think of doing 200 bicep curls or 300 squats? Unless you like pain - I think not. :) You need to vary your exercises to shock your muscles. Try 3-4 sets, 15-25 reps each of crunches on a stability ball...add a hand weight and put your arms behind your head while you do them...do twisting crunches...

Here's are two exercises that are fun and very challenging. If you can do 300 of these, let me know, cuz you'll be the first!

Windshield Wipers
Lie on your back with your hands, palms down, out to your sides. Bring your legs up, toes pointed toward the ceiling. Keeping your hips anchored to the floor, drop your legs to one side of your body, keeping them straight. Lower as far as you can without lifting your hips off the floor. (Remember, you want to work your abs...not your lower back) Bring your legs back up to the middle and repeat on the other side. There, you've just done one rep. Now do 12 more!

Dead Bugs
Grab a stability ball and lie on your back. Hold the ball between your legs (it will be wide and not very pleasing for anyone to look at). Keep the ball between your legs and lower them to the floor, while at the same time bringing your arms above and behind your head. Now reach up toward the middle, grab the ball and repeat the movement, lowering your legs to the floor, this time holding the ball in your hands. Repeat this movement as many times as you can. Remember to not arch your back! (Added bonus...this exercise also works the inner thighs by holding the ball between your legs)

One last thing, unless you get very lean (i.e. lose a lot of body fat), you're not going to see the six-pack. Keep up with the cardio, shake up your workouts, and you should see results quickly.

Cut on the cardio part and increase your weight lifting and protein intake.
