Yes, it's true. You may pick out which characters you would like to attend your wedding reception. For the special occasion, Mickey and Minnie will come dressed as a bride and a groom. Or you could have Donald and Daisy, or any characters that you'd like, really. But, of course, the more characters you have the more expensive it will be.
lol The person above is crazy! It wouldn't draw attention away from the couple! They're just there for fun and entertainment, just like you may have a DJ or a band play music.

Yes you can rent most Disney characters to appear at your reception. Almost anything is available for a price at Disney butthe price is usually pretty steep.
If you can afford it go for it.

It probably is true for Disney weddings, however I would not recommend it. It is supposed to be a special day for the bride and groom where the attention is supposed to be on them . A disney character would just detract attention from the bride and groom and probably cause some hurt feelings.

yes you can have mickey and minnie, all the main characters but they cost quit a bit of money
