were adam and eve immortal?

before they ate the apple

is it possible that they got bored after many 1000s of years of life in a garden? so they decided to eat the apple after having done everything else, climbed every tree, looked under every rock, etc etc.

They definitely would have got bored of living. Even i would have eaten the apple if i were in their place.

The apple story is not in the Bible.
After sinning, God told them that since the've done this, they would not live through one day; since one day is as 1000 years for the Lord, Adam is listed as having lived a total of 930 years.
Nobody mentioned in Scripture lived to be over a thousand years, always under that. I also wondered about boredom in the garden, but you know in Ezekiel, from chapter 40 all the way to the end, its all about what you and I will be doing in the eternity.
One of the things it mentions is a tree with leaves that keeps you happy, healthy and not bored, for the "what its worth dept"!!

The narrative of Genesis 1-3 doesn't say how long Adam and Eve were in the Garden of Eden before their notorious sin was committed. Perhaps it was a long time; perhaps it was not. We typically read the third chapter of Genesis as if it happened on the "eighth" day of creation, but there is no reason to read the text that way. Might it be that the "Tree of Life" somehow influenced their longevity, but being kicked out of the Garden of Eden prohibited them from continuing to eat from it?

Adam and Eve did have the ability to live forever with God in the garden but they messed up. They also weren't 1000's of years when they were kicked out. If you look back to Genesis 5 when they had Seth Adam was 130 years. I doubt they got bored of the garden. It was paradise. Not to mention they were with God and Jesus.

Adam and Eve had 2 childrens, 2 sons, and one become killed by applying the different so Adam Eve and the surviving brother have been immortal then grew to become mortal via Tree of existence and then the different brother got here decrease back to existence. Thats what i've got faith. please admire my ideals.

NO. They were eternal.

Immortal = having life IN yourself. This means you need NOTHING to live. No oxygen, food, light, nothing.

Eternal = you need food, water, light and normal things to live. Its God's grace and power that sustains your life over eternity.

The reason we know this is because WE are promised the same things as Adam & Eve on Paradise Earth when conditions are restored here.

I believe they were, yes. The power of death did not enter until after they took the forbidden fruit, therefore the logical assumption is that we were created immortal, and then after the fall of man our lifespan began to steadily decrease.

Another interesting theory is that the "forbidden fruit" was sex, although I just take it to mean literal fruit of some sorts...

No,they were not immortal.They were created perfect and designed to live forever.However,when they sinned they lost all of that.They aged and eventually died.
The only creatures that are immortal are Jehovah God,Jesus Christ now after his resurrrection to heaven and the 144,000 faithful men and women who are to reign in heaven as kings and priests with Christ Jesus

i do not belive in any ADAM AND EVE.i saw this show on nat geo in which they discussed about a SCIENTIFIC ADAM.most males y chromosomes match of this mysterious man.he was born in an african tribe in western africa.he laid the foundations of modern man.his tribes spread all around the world.(and survived)there were other adams too but because of some calamity or because they had girls or had no children their blood lines did not survive.ADAM was the chief of his tribe and he is said to have developed complex speech.his decendents reside in africa and their language and traditions are said too have been as old as adam's
