Ok...this is gonna sound weird.........?

my boyfriend swears that there is a month... either some years past or future years that had or will have 32 days!! Anyone know anything about this?? LOL

I havent heard of 32 days (since we have leap years for the extra day we make up) but in September 1752 the Julian calendar was replaced with the Gregorian calendar in Great Britain and its American colonies. The Julian calendar was 11 days behind the Gregorian calendar, so 14 September got to follow 2 September on the day of the change. The result was that between 3 and 13 September, absolutely nothing happened! People went to bed on the 2nd of September and woke up on the 14th.

The calendar switch also influenced the way George Washington's birthday is celebrated. He was born on 11 February 1731, but the anniversary of his birth is on 22 February because of the 11 days eliminated from the calendar switch. At the same time, New Year's Day was changed from 25 March to 1 January, thus according to the new calendar, Washington was born in 1732.

The calendar is ANY system for dividing time over extended periods such as days, weeks, months or years. This was done to regulate basic affairs of everyday life whether it be agricultural, business, domestic or religious.
The year we use today can be based on the length of time it takes the earth to orbit the sun or the time it takes the earth to tilt back and forth to the same starting point (you do know that the earth tilts)..unfortunately these two times vary. Using our calendar, that is why we have to add a day every 4 years...but that is still not accurate enough...so your friend is correct, using our standards.
What I am trying to say is that time is...lol..you thought I would tell you ....lol...you need to tell yourself.. but I will give you a clue...Think in your mind back as a child..you can think some situations clearly...even your emotions ..and think of how you talked to yourself in your mind when you were younger......you talk to yourself the same way now....time is ........

After doing a search, the only calendar I could find that had 32 days was the Iranian (also known as the Persian calendar) calendar.

So, technically--your boyfriend could be right, but not by The Gregorian Calendar's standards. This is the calendar that is most used internationally.

The longest month in the Gregorian Calendar is 31 days.

Not true. Calenders, time and history have fixed the numbers of days in a month and year. Even if a day repeats itself, which will not happen, according to our calenders its the next day or next month or next year. There can't be a 32nd day and there never has been.
Unless, in history, there used to be 32 days in a month, I can't say that I have heard of such a thing though.
