It is an organization which counsels women and men about sexual issues, contraception, pregnancy and parenthood. Some people will attack it because it is pro-choice: They give you ALL the information so YOU can make a choice about your life if you are pregnant. But they are for everything else sexual or family planning too. I'm sure they have a great website.

the best thing to do is check out the website-or call your local chapter.
each one varies from state to state--even from town to town, but the general idea of them is the same
They will give you a free pregnancy test if you need one-- and if you are pregnant or not they work from that- they dont push for abortions-- they try everything they can to help you deal with pregnancy and bring a baby into the world.
I have one near me that gives free clothes and toys if your child needs them--and another one in another town that does not provide that 'service'
they do NOT provide health care services.
if you are not pregnant--they will provide you with condoms--NOT birth control of another method--they will give you information packs on other forms of birth control and a list of doctors/clinics in the area where you can obtain them.

They are a crisis pregnancy center/health center.
They provide birth control and health care at low or no cost.
They provide prenatal care.
They provide adoption and abortion counseling...some clinics do abortions.
They provide AIDS/HIV and other STD testing, counseling and treatment.
A lot of conservatives are convinced they are satan, however if they were left alone to do the first thing, they wouldn't have to do the abortion counseling, adoption counseling, or STD stuff!

They help and encourage young people have sex at an early age and they push abortions on young girls who should be talking with their parents. I understand they give out condoms and birth control pills to minors without any authorization from their parents.
