Should I install Windows Defender?

if you're not particular about using Microsoft products, then you should... also if currently, you're not using any anti-spyware/anti-malware program in your PC, you may want to install this. it is relatively free and protects your PC from spyware and malicious programs especially if you connect to the Internet (you should have a genuine Windows OS installed though -- not the pirated copies -- as when downloading Windows Defender, your PC will be validated first).

You can also check out LavaSoft's AdAware product and/or SpyBot Search and Destroy.

yes it is a good program to have,, i got it and it has updates for it also, it works great,, and also with the defender,, you know when you download some things of the net you get these odd little go along things with the download that will give you pop ups all the time that are not so easy to get out of your computer well the defender will remove these and all kind of other adware thing and stuff like that it works great anyone should have it,,

I would, I have it, It works really well, and a bonus if you leave your Computer on all the time it will automatically scan it everyday at around 2 o'clock in the morning.

i did because it took up less computer resources and it complemented Windows Live OneCare well. I havent had any problems with it since getting it back in november.

Yes, unless you have another antivirus/antispyware suite... ex. Norton, McAffee, Panda, etc. Running too many antivirus software could leads to memory leaks thus making your system too slow.

Yes. and remove all other programs (mcafee, norton, etc) keep windows live one care
