Short answer denial and ignorance. I however offend whoever I want and wish to be treated the same; I want honest opinions not PC ones. The people who get offended, who say g-d instead of god, who deny every religions plausibility, scoff at anything that differs from their truth, and who accept every lunacy in the bible are ignorant foolish creatures.

Well, you see...the concept of God, and Jesus his son and our saviour is very dear to the majority of the population on earth. I say this knowing that he is called many names...God that is, Alah, Buddah..etc.
Religion is an explanation as to why we are here and our purpose. The fact that God sent his only son, makes his son a holy entity and a sacrifice that God made. For the majority of the Christian population, using the name "Jesus" in common every day talk..such as "Oh Jesus" or "Jesus Christ"...is offensive. Many would say...."How dare you use the name of our Saviour in vain...or as a common expression :)"

ok now, ive been told that the reason why people get so offended by it because one the Bible said that it will be like that and two because it just shows the persons true colors and it reveals who they really are. its more of a spiritual thing. and all this going on just proves the bible correct and that jesus is real

Religion and Politics are both highly polarized topics of discussion so be prepared to defend your comments anytime they are brought into a conversation.

Because they have no faith, no true faith, in either him or his teachings. Like Peter, they swing their swords out of the sad fear their lives speak to them.
To be a 'true' follower of Jesus means one bears no sword, or sharp word, against anyone. True faith cannot be cut by a sword or strong word, and so does the object pass through with no resistance. Fear is what makes one resist; faith is what leads one to accept.

It scares alot of people. I'm an Atheist, but I have no problem with the Christian movement. Or the 10 commandments being displayed or anything, some people are just ignorant, or have no self esteem and try to make there self feel better by down grading other peoples belief's or lives.

A discussion is fine. Telling me that I am going to hell because I think he was only a man, is not fine. :P

The only time I'm offended is when I see offensive and vile comments made about Jesus. I welcome intellectual debate anytime.
