There's this toy that looks like a yellow jar with a face on it, and it make music and it comes with shapes that you can put into the jar. My son loved it at that age. Also a toy that she can push, like one of those popcorn popper ones that were huge in the 70's. Anything that makes noise and lights up is good.

How about rather than a toy or clothes get her something for when she is older like a $50 savings bond or a small chest that you can put pictures, her fav toy, etc to give to her when she has her own children or just give to her as a keepsake!

I wouldn't go all out considering it's her first birthday and she won't hardly remember it. The best gifts are practical ones that she can use. If she's not interested in toys, buy her things she needs. Hope this helped!

We have a large family and when my daughter urned one hey all insisted on having a big party- it was more for them than for her. Needless to say she got tonnes of presents...which one did she like the most? The bubble blower i bought her for the discount shop! It cost like $2 and she loved it cause she knew how to 'blow' the bubbles...we still play with it every time we go to the park!

I got my nephew one of those collectible scaled down die cast cars. It had a special paint and only a few were made. When he is older he can look back at it and cherish it forever as a collectible car that he got for his first birthday. For a girl there might be a special beanie baby or barbie doll? Good luck.

If she uses a sippy cup now just get her a few new good sippy cups or something like that. Sheets for her big girl bed whenever she gets it would be good too maybe.
