What are some ways to bring the family together?

Well my family is alittle difficulty to bring together but this year I want us to become closer as family because it doesn't make sense how we treat each other. Please give me some sugestions that we could perhaps do to enjoy each others company.

You don't say the ages of the kids in your family, but here are some things my family does:
--I read out loud to them at night. These are not lil kids I'm reading to - they are both in middle school - and we started this a year or two ago, and we've found some series of books we like, and it has been a real bonding experience.
--We go on walks and talk.
--We hardly ever watch tv; we play board games or pursue hobbies at night.
--I paint with my daughter and do science kits with my son.
--We go to museums, movies, and science centers. We particularly enjoy Omniplex movies.
--We cook together.
--We sit around and just draw together.
--We read joke books and pick out our favorites to tell each other.
--We play computer games together.
--We read the Bible and pray together.

What we don't do:
--We don't use bad language.
--We don't raise our voices in anger.
--We don't get mad about accidents.
--We try not to put ourselves first.
--We don't tease till someone gets angry.
--We don't hurt each other either physically or with words.

Board games. Take dog on walk/hiking or go biking together. Go bowling. Go camping as a family in the great outdoors (no TV or distractions). Campfire and tell stories, make up games. Camping over the weekend is a real good idea because you and your family get away from all the bustle.
