My brother says that it is in their nature to hump anything if they arent "fixed". They can be gay, or straight. Is this true?

Dogs are never gay. Humping can be a sign of dominance also. Female dogs do this at times. No anal sex has ever been practiced by a dog. Have a great year.

Dogs, even neutered dogs, hump to show dominance, not just sex. (I have seen a neutered dog hump a female in heat, even though he couldn't really mate.)
They often hump other males to say "I am boss." This does not mean they are gay. They are not trying to mate, they are just being bossy.
I've heard that there are rare cases of homosexuality in dogs, but I haven't seen it.

They do hump alot more if they're not fixed, this is because they're more agressive if they're not fixed.
Humping in doggie world is not a sexual thing - it's about dominance. Girl dogs hump other girls, boys hump boys, boys hump girls, and occasionally girls will hump boys, too.
It all depends on the order within the "pack".
Again - It's not a sexual thing at all.

I guess they could be genuinely gay, but it's not all that likely. It's a dominant thing, their way of letting the other male dogs know who's boss. It is a little strange wathing a weird four male dog orgy, though...

Dogs don't know what gay straight means. Male dogs hump everything cause they are natrually horny. HTH

Wellll.... I don't really think homosexuality is among dogs. Sexual activity is instinctive for them. Male or female.
I once told my dad his Yorkie was gay. I was visiting twice with a Pom in raging heat... the male Yorkie ignored her.
I said it being silly, but I do wonder.....
