I sometimes pull a section of hair to the top of my head using a small barrette. To vary leaving it straight, I change my part from time to time or add curl. Switching to a side part from my normal center part actually gets a lot of attention from my coworkers. It sounds silly, but many of them ask if I have dyed my hair or done something special, just when I switch the parting. If you have some coordination in managing your own hair, then I would see a stylist who specializes in up-dos to walk you through the process of how to pin up your hair in a style that works for day-to-day wear.

if you're a dab hand w/ hairstyle you could try a french twist (look for pics and stuff on GOogle) and also a elegant knot at your neck is about as formal as it gets. French braid or regular braid is cute also, possibly with a skinny black headbank (VERY ELEGANT)

well i dont know what your style is but try a french roll or even a simple up-do with curls pull in a loose high pony with bobby pins securing your ends then the hair that you have hanging for your pony curl in tight or loose curls

u didn't say if you had any color or hilights on your hair but if your hair isn't highlited then i would suggest getting just a small amount to liven up your hair or either if you have any gray showing through do get some color and maybe a few highlites and get your stylist to show you different ways to make it different being she would know better cause she can look at it Good Luck!!!

You could try coloring/highlighting it to give it a different look, or you could curl it different ways, french braid it, putting a different part in it when its down (zigzagging, side, middle, stuff like that).
