The relationship between a person and God is theirs alone to build, but it is always good to have guidance and support. A person learns many things from church and the others that are there.

We Christians are the church - we have no obligation to go to this or that building on Sunday morning. But the Bible says if we follow Christ, we "will have fellowship with others." It encourages meeting with other believers for worship and mutual encouragement, to build relationships and be there to help each other. If you do this in your basement or on a park bench, fine. But no man, and no Christian, is an island. I know people who keep in touch with other members of the Body mainly by phone, who minister and witness in chatrooms, and who haven't attended church in years. And they're more effective for the lord than a lot of churchgoers I know.

We are the church. The bible says to gather together with like believers to worship. That can be friends and doesn't necessarily have to be at some building other than your home. In fact that is how people first met. If you are having negative feelings toward organized religion you are not alone. But you should not forsake gathering together with like believers to worship for your own good.

Some people HALF go to Church. Either the go HALF of the time or they only go HALF of the way to Church and never get there.
Hebrews 10:25 tells why we SHOULD go to Church (not why we HAVE to go).
If you have a fireplace with a live fire with glowing coals. If you take one of those coals out and place it on the hearth, it won't be long before the fire goes out.
If you only HALF go to Church, soon the fire will go out in your life.

It depends on the person. If he feels god wants him to go to church, then he should. Even if other people are there as well. But if he feels God wouldn't give a damn, then he doesn't have to go.

yes is the short answer to your long question. church or other places of prayers such as temples, synagogues, mosque and a multitude of other places would be correct. why go to a gathering of people's places -- because of its nature of healing -- people gather and pray in common -- that is the way it was and still is. the feeling of praying in groups is stronger than doing it by yourself. yes, the relationship is individual but nothing wrong with praying in common. to get into that feeling and see how it works, go to the "common places" as described and feel the difference. hope it helps, usually it does -- see my record of 10 p.cent best answers.

Not all believers go to church for different reasons. The Bible does say that we should support fellow believers.
