I won't tell you the results of the project but can offer help where to buy meal worms. We sell them in a cup of 25-50 and for a student such as yourself, give them away for free. Now, here's where you get them. Go to any Pet-co, Independent Pet Shops, Pets mart or any other pet shop. You can probably purchase enough for the whole class for a $1.00. Have fun with the project.

First of all, I really don't think you've got anything to worry about when it comes to the expense..
Maybe like a bait shop? Do people fish in Texas..? Or perhaps a pet store? My friend gets meal worms for her tarantula at a local pet store around here, but I'm not sure if they sell them where you live.

They sell mealworms at most pet stores and they usually sell them in small tubs of 50 or 100. And it costs like $2.50 for each little tub. They a Petco or Petsmart.

You cant. Meal worms live near moist, watery areas. Texas is a preeety hot place. Now you can change meal worms to like another worm like earthworms. Sorry though...
