What do they think that Jesus died for?

Jesus said that we have to repent of all of our sins, not just the ones that we don't mind living without.

How can Christians repent of sins that, because of pride and politics of the culture, they refuse to admit is a serious sin?

Repent means to turn away from and to go in the opposite direction, like doing a U-turn.

If I give specific examples I'll get reported by the PC police and this question will get deleted. That's why you'll have to figure it out for yourself what I am talking about.

I'm not talking about screwing up and repenting. I'm talking about some who will deny that a sin is a sin.

Just because a person becomes a christian doesn't put us on the "perfect" list. We grow in Christ. It's a spiritual journey on a hard and narrow road. Sometimes we slip and fall. Sometimes we wander off the path, but the cross is our beacon and will always bring us back to the place where we mess up and we start again from there. Do you think we are different then the average sinner?. No. We are even more accountable for our sins than you are. The only difference between us is that a non believer is not pardoned, and a believer has been pardoned by grace, only available by acknowledgment of Christ, the Son of God as the One who payed the price for that pardon.

Why do people continue to paint all Christians with the same brush? If the Bible condemns something as a sin then it's a sin.
"If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" -1 Jn. 8,9. You are right in your definition of repentance. Let me just say that the Bible is clear that all Christians will stand before the judgement seat of Christ and account for their lives since they've been saved. It is equally clear of the dangers of wilfully continuing in sin.

I think a lot of organized religions fall into this catagory. My personal opinion is that these religions were "formed" by such enthusiastic followers/founders/questionables quite some time ago and having not evolved, such as technology, etc, sets ppl up for failure. So, ppl have no choice but to "pick and choose" their sins to repent and take a "U-turn".

Creates a life-long battle with guilt!

To add: Speaking about Christians (one's that are Born Again and Saved), they believe that all non-saved ppl will go to h***. How do I know this? Cuz I was one for a tiny amount of time (BIG mistake!) Encouraged by my lovely childhood friend who apparently had all of the answers. She guaranteed a happier life and a difficult road to follow. She was right about the difficult part, indeed; but grossly wrong about the happier part. While "practicing" or trying my best, anyway, I had a horrible identity crisis causing me to, constantly and at every turn, question myself and my abilities as a human being, and slipped into a temporary depression. While slipping further and further, and praying with my church members while this was happening, I attempted suicide and went to the hospital.
The outcome:
A lovely 2-day hospital stay coupled with a prescription for Celexa, which I spit out each time, and NO Christian friends to visit me while "incarcerated". Hmmmm.....where were they?
What happened next?
Upon my discharge I threw out the bottle of poison, drove to the church and found my "friends", ripped them a new ***hole for not visiting to see how I was coming along, removed myself as a member and.....VOILA! Instant cure! I reclaimed my identity and my confidence/self-esteem and I was...HA!...reborn!!
BTW: My childhood friend claimed my "problem" was due to not comforming to unending prayer and failing to call on the advice of my fellow worshippers, which was the very root of my problem to begin with.
What's my life been like up to this point?
Well, I live as I've always lived before "getting saved" and becoming a Christian. I feel I am happiest just being who I am. I felt as though they were trying to change who I am as a person.

Identity is a very powerful element. Without it, we are broken. It's really not enough to "have God". Not for everyone, anyway. Jesus really isn't a one-size-fits-all.
Lastly, I respect those with their beliefs, but plz, respect mine as I have my own. Just because I don't belong to an organization doesn't mean that I am "lost". I just choose not to walk with those that swear that you have to be a part of their religious affiliation or, you will go to h***.
MMMMMMM.....for me, I think I'll stick with, "....thinking for myself...", seems to have kept my ol' cerebral sharp throughout the years.
Peace...

You didn't specify what you are interpreting as sin. Understand nothing is a sin for those who have been made new through the atonement and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Under God's law many things were considered sin that have been made clean by the atonement. For instance if you are considering eating pork a sin it is no longer forbidden as it is made clean by Christ. Now with understanding please understand a new creature does not sin but if a man serves sin he is not a new creature but is judged according to the law. Any man that thinks himself saved that serves sin is deceived. Now it is by faith that we can say we are made new but truely we are not yet dead and only become complete through literal death and he who endures to the end is truly saved. I recommend Romans Chapter 6.

First thing you need to keep in mind is that no sin is greater than another. sin is sin.
most "Christians" do not have the holy ghost power of Christ. Acts 2 and 38.
People typically do not want to admit their wrong. and they do not want to quit doing the things they want to do. this is why they do not admit their sining (wrong)

I am not saying that i am the "perfect Christian". please to not get me wrong. I need improvement if im going to escape hell; more than most.

if you are talking about homosexuality, which i suspect you are, those passages are almost open to interpretation. with Sodom and Gomorrah, the sinners had homosexual relations fuled by LUST and they DISRESPECTED GOD. the sins in that passage are lust (one of the 7 deadly sins) and disrespecting god (one of the 10 commandments). the sin is NOT HOMOSEXUAL RELATIONS. the bible also speaks against heterosexual relations fueled by lust, but this does not mean that all heterosexual relations are bad. the sin is lust. LUSTFUL homosexual realations are a sin, LUSTFUL heterosexual relations are bad. homosexual reations full of love and understanding and true passion are okay, heterosexual reations full of love and understanding and true passion are okay.

because they don't want to give up those sins that they find pleasure in so they pick and choose what they believe instead of taking all of Gods Word and following all of it....we cant pick and choose it doesn't work that way

Not all people believe the same things. Some people also are not as committed as others.

You can't go about putting everyone in your smart little box. You don't know every Christian so how are you going to generalize a massive amout of people. Why don't you stick to things that you know for sure and leave your bias out of it.
