I'm so crazy about my dog that we are together ALL the time and when alone I speak to her in baby-talk and nuzzle and cuddle her. She seems to like it, but does she secretly just think I'm crazy? Do dogs hate this cuddling and babying?

dogs love to be cuddled and talked to even if it is in goofy sounding baby talk most respond better like a child does
they prefer soft friendly voices over loud stern ones

dogs are a pack animal. Meaning they are, much like us, a social animal. They not only like closeness and cuddling and all that stuff but they need it just as we do.

You say you are with your dog all the time? I hope you will keep in mind that she will be strongly, strongly attached to you. And when a point comes in your life that you are busy with other things you make certain she still gets lots of your time. She will be happy just to sit with you as opposed to being alone! She NEEDS you. Dogs get depressed, hurt, frightened etc just like we do. They liave more by instinct but they have th capacity to reason and to love and to form attachments. They can also decome mentally ill.

All I am saying is dogs live for many, many years, don't abandon your baby when you get new things in your life. It will hurt her deeply and there will come a time in your life you will regret it terribly!

I do the same thing with my 5 month old 6 pound Bichonpoo. My puppy loves it she doesn't think I am crazy. People that hear me talk to her think I should be taken away by the men in white coats however. Keep talking it builds a bond with your dog.

It depends on the breed and the individual dog. Make sure that your dog is exposed to lots of other dogs and people.

Perhaps he does not think you are crazy.
But, don't let that fool you, you still might be crazy.

not really, she just senses you as excited energy and that either excites her or scares her
