What hotels and hotspots do celebs go to in NYC?

just trying to find a good spot to stay at & party if i happen to take my friend who's dying to go. i don't get out much so i need some excitement :)

To be honest, when it comes to clubs they usually go to places that normal people would not be able to get into... not unless its early.. you can figure out where by reading alot of the gossip blogs on the Internet. For hotels, they are less likely to be at a W, they would choose something more exclusive, like one of the Ian Schrager properties that they were based on or another high end/ boutique hotel like 60 Thom or the lower of the high end, like the Soho Grand / Tribecca Grand. Usually the accomodations that Stars stay at are not cheap... and there are literally tons of other high end places to stay, ie: Mandarin Oriental, WaldorfAstoria, The Ritz, Four Seasons.....

Then there is always the Meat Packing District.. I think that would be your best bet for a concentrated search for a star sighting and a good time. Great restaurants, trendy hotels and lots of interesting nightlife there too. Stars are people too.. so sometimes you run into them in the most unlikely of places...

Usually hotels such as "W" are big with celebs. In terms of hotspots...the ULTRA hip clubs (around Chelsea or the West Village)....the ones that only allow "beautiful people" in.

Madison Ave between sixtieth and 72nd Sts. Celebs like to save and devour lunch in that section, i've got even seen Arnold Schwartz pass shoe paying for in that section. additionally attempt putting around Barney's branch save...
