sounds like the guy should have filled out an aplication at the donut shop so he could buy a soda with two straws two donuts and a pack of condoms for there next date.and let her pay for the gym if this is how they spend time together.

Guys are cheap! My boyfriend and I always end up fighting over money somehow. It's in there nature. =) Doesn't bother me much, I don't think it a bad thing really. It equals out. I enjoy spending - he enjoys saving.
What I would worry about if both couples didn't know the means of savings.

I don't think there's anything wrong with paying for yourself as long as the purchase is not under $2.00. The reason why guys talk about money is to impress.

Nothing wrong with people paying for their own stuff no matter what sex they are.
Guys tend to talk about money more because they think it will impress the ladies..........in truth its a real turnoff.
