Did Galileo need the pope's permission?
Why should science have to bend to the will of superstition? If they had to do that, we'd all be stuck in the Dark Ages! It's amazing we've even come this far.

No if we did that we would still be in the stone age. I am a christian but i think that some ppl are just too religious. The pope isnt god and cant deny someone their opinion given them by god.
How do u define christians we are so devided nowadays and how, when, where, on what, and who would vote. Just too complicated
its amazing how the christians came to a consensus on this one. we can barely agree who chris was and if he was gods son

No not at all, we are all entitled to our opinion no matter how whacked out they might be.
Oh and by the way, Christianity and the Catholic Religion are two COMPLETELY different things, as a fundamentalist Christian I don't need the Pope's permission to do squat.

absolutely not! at least not in America. I love my country because even if your ideas are wrong you can publish them, you have a right to publish absolute foolishness!!! and them people can publicly disagree have discussions debate come to a consensus or agree to disagree. This is what makes out country great

Does it matter when the Pope agrees that evolution is a fact?

Sweetie, the pope is in charge of nothing. Nobody with a brain needs his permission to do anything. My wish for 2007 is that he is assasinated.
