Last year I had panic attack three times. First time I didn't even know what it was thinking it was heart attack. I was in a bus and quickly want to get out of the bus because I felt I can't breathe at all. My heart beat was very fast. I immediately went to see a doctor and she couldn't tell what it was. She thought it was my thyroid gland because my hands are shaking. She took my blood sample for test. I was given a pill to relax me. The test result was negative. Personally I did some research from the internet and library and realise I had panic attack. If I want to get well, I have to help myself. No one else can do that for me. Medicine is not always the solution. Now I am perfectly OK.
It is true that it is all in the mind and stressful life. Whatever problem we have, we should try telling someone or as many people as possible. There is always some people out there willing to lend their ears and I am one of them. It is always good to have friends around rather than alone in the flat.
Loneliness is also one of the causes.
So lets get rid of PANIC ATTACK once and for all.

stress is the main cause of panic attacks. exercise is very good and some kind of relaxation classes are good too. this is just my opinion but a trip to the doctors is the last resort as they might put u on medication. i think beating stress the natural way is much better

Panic attacks are caused by a chemical imbalance in the brain which can successfully be treated with medication prescribed by a family physician or a specialist, such as a psychiatrist.

See your doctor. If it helps, some forms of birth control can cause panic attacks. But even if you're not on contraception, yeah, doctor.
