The Richards family were mostly from the MS. area. Odie died on Feb 6 1978 in CA. He married a Mildred Ramona Conklin in Abt. 1928 in Santa Clara Co., CA. They had two children with one of them being my mother-in-law and the other, a son is deceased. My mother-in-law was not in good standing with her family when she was younger and stated that she had been dis-owned so she refuses to tell me anything about the Richards side. She is no blood relation to me, but I would LIKE to know for my childrens' sake, so they know where they came from...
If anyone has a way of searching for this guy, Odie that would be great!
I've mostly searched on the www.familysearch.org site and have not been able to find him on any other website out there.

This is a real long shot and there's probably no connection, but here goes...
I, too, am looking for people in the Richards family.
My grandfather James Edward Richards was born in Roanoak Virginia (late 1800's), and moved to Oklahoma city where he married my grandmother Marte (maiden name unknown, who had 3 daughters by a former marriage). My father, James Robert Richards, born May 19, 1915, was born as their only child. She took her daughters and left my grandfather, and my father, who was 4 at the time, and who was then raised in foster homes. Marte died somewhere in Oregon in the 70's.
Dad met my mother, Oma Orlena Mitchell somewhere near Ada, Ok, and they married and moved to southern Calif in 1936 where they had 4 children.
One of my fathers cousins was named Carl Farrell who lived on a small dairy farm in Dos Palos, Calif. around 1944. His wife was named Ruby, and his sons were named Burton, and Kenneth (who attended Fresno State College).
As I said, I know this is a long shot, but perhaps you, or someone reading this might recognize someone here.
