It seems to me to be a mixture of movies, daytime t.v., and outright lies and urban legends. If you don't actually study something ,can you profess to know anything about it? Can I get a job as a nuclear physicist, even though I know nothing about it?

I studied it BEFORE I got saved in my search for the truth.
Needless to say I did NOT find it in the occult. I renounced anything I came into contact with once I got saved.
Now I know why God doesn't go into great details about it in the Bible. It's harmful to the spirit!
He tells us what we need to know and NO MORE!

theres nothing saying christians cant study the occult. they just cant worship it.

We are not forbidden to study it, but we don't need to if we know the truth. The best way to know a counterfeit when you see it is to know well what the real thing looks like.
