Sure, he really doesn't know if he's male or female. Go for it. I promise he won't have his feelings hurt. In fact, he may enjoy all the extra attention.

Absolutely!
My boy has quite a variety of clothing. And BTW, I am not entirely sure that our self-assigned gender roles are something dogs even care about. I mean really, if dogs are color blind, do you think a boy dog is going to mind if his sweater is pink?
I would say if the dog doesn't seem to like the sweater or whatever you put on him, don't push the issue (unless he is a short coated dog and you live in a cold place, if that is the case you need to have at least a blanket style coat for him when you go out)

There is absolutely nothing wrong with dressing any dog, male or female. If the dog doesn't mind having clothes on him, why not?

Male or female, I've always found it a little weird, except maybe for a special picture or as a costume for Halloween. You can just see the humiliation in their eyes. I think they'd get too hot. I do have to admit though, I bought a doggy sweater for my dog when she got old and lost alot of weight. Put it on her only when she went out to go potty. Anyway, really don't think any other time is necessary:}

Are you asking if you are going to damage his masculinity by dressing him?
Dogs do not have a gender bias when it comes to clothing. They don't know that Burberry plaid is like, so 1990s! Or that a pink tutu is goofy looking on a boxer. We're talking about an animal that will eat his own vomit, and lick his balls in public. He's not exactly tuned to the fine nuances of correct social behavior in humans.

Putting clothes on a dog is an affront to his dignity, an assault on his self respect. Shame on you for even thinking of it! He is wearing a beautiful coat already, and he is proud of it. You want to dress something up, have a kid or buy a doll.
